New Arrivals

My flock is growing. Look at the new arrivals today! There are 26 in all and they include Comets, RIRs, Astralorops, Welsummers, Leghorns, Ameraucanas, and Black Jersey Giants.

This is the way to go with watering baby chicks because they are always making their water dirty. This way it never gets dirty. Thanks to my dear husband for making this contraption for me.

Baby chicks get tired especially after a long trip. After some refreshing water and feed upon arrival many were ready for a nap.

OK, who's going to start the pecking order?

All these chicks suppose to be hens. I have had my share of rooster trouble and just can't bear to have to dispose of them so I just prefer not to deal with this problem. I currently have two roosters and one is giving me trouble right now - trying to attack and it breaks my heart because I'm left with no choice but to get rid of him since I can't risk his attacks on children.

Deb, I just sat down at the 'big' computer (vs the iPad which I almost always use) and I found ALL your chicken post. Are you back to eating blue eggs now? Love getting to continue with the sagas of Daisy Rosie and Violet and Mz Scarlett. Lots of work for you to keep up with so many feathered ones.
